Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Roster, a client-management application for personal trainers operated by Horizon Works, a sole proprietorship based in Austin, Texas (“Roster,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account or using Roster, you agree to these Terms.

The service

Roster provides tools for personal trainers to manage clients, schedule and log sessions, track progress, request and accept payments, and communicate with clients through a portal, email, and SMS. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

Accounts

  • You must provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account.
  • You must be at least 18 years old to create a trainer account.

Your responsibilities for client data

As a trainer, you control the client information you enter into Roster. You represent that you have the right to provide that information and that you have obtained any necessary consent from your clients — including consent to receive appointment reminders and cancellation notices by SMS and email. You agree to use Roster’s messaging features only for these transactional purposes and not for marketing or any unlawful content.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Roster for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose.
  • Send spam, marketing, or unsolicited messages through the messaging features.
  • Attempt to access other users’ data or disrupt the service.
  • Reverse engineer or resell the service without permission.

Plans, payments, and billing

  • Roster offers a free tier and a paid subscription (currently $49/month). Pricing and plan features may change with notice.
  • Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis and renew automatically until canceled. You can cancel at any time; access continues through the end of the paid period.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. Trainers who collect client payments through Roster do so via their own connected Stripe account and are responsible for their Stripe relationship and any applicable fees.
  • Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable.

SMS messaging

Appointment reminders and cancellation notices may be sent by SMS. Recipients can reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. See our Privacy Policy for details on how messaging data is handled.

Disclaimers

Roster is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Horizon Works will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of Roster. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Termination

You may stop using Roster and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or to protect the service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of- laws rules.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above; continued use of Roster after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
